Between The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth coming out on iOS and the Nintendo Switch event happening last week, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ has been slated for release as a Switch launch title...but only in America.

Who wants The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ available for Nintendo Switch physical/retail in Europe? RT pic.twitter.com/uX68AQz6M7— Nicalis, Inc. (@nicalis) January 18, 2017 As brought to our attention by Eurogamer earlier today, though the title is confirmed for America, and already up for pre-order, a European launch of the game isn't exactly on the cards yet. BoI's publisher Nicalis Inc. is currently campaigning to get the game into retail in Europe, asking folks to retweet their tweet (above).

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will be going for $39.99, and will release on the 3rd March alongside the Switch. Let's hope the thousand+ retweets are listened to and that Europe won't be left out of the occasion.

 Whose white weighs down the airy scale of praise;
Mario is getting his very own encyclopedia, courtesy of Dark Horse Publishing. Part guide, part collector’s item, the encyclopedia is sure to be a must-have tome for fans of Super Mario Bros. The Super Mario Encyclopedia follows the huge success of Dark Horse Publishing’s Hyrule Historia series that chronicled the history of the Legend of Zelda franchise.

The Super Mario Encyclopedia explores nearly the entire history of the series, from Mario’s humble beginnings in 1985 to the Wii U’s Super Mario 3D World. Unfortunately, Super Mario’s Switch adventures didn’t make the cut-off for publication, but there should still be a wealth of other information in the encyclopedia’s pages to keep you entertained. The book promises level maps, enemy descriptions, and other behind-the-scenes information on all things Mario.

The encyclopedia is out on October 23 in North America, and you can pre-order it here. The guide's already out in Spain and Germany, but a UK release date is sure to follow soon now that the English language version is confirmed.

I never doubted that OXENFREE would make it to the Switch, but that doesn't mean we're any less excited to see that it's on the way.

Are you a fan of those games that try to mix physical figurines with virtual screens?

While not a novel concept on mobile (see the stylish Beasts of Balance) Dungeon Mini is trying to export the idea to dungeon crawling games in a Kickstarter that launched late last week.

The idea is that you'd use real figurines to fight, collect loot and advance through rooms. This means that you'll control your character quite literally, through the figurines and mimic the action of swinging an axe and more. you'll also draw runes and solve puzzles on the screen.

For now there are two characters: A bow-wielding Elf and a Dwarf that wields an Axe. Multiplayer and more classes are possible but should be one of the campaign's stretch goals.

As the game requires you to place the figurines directly on your screen, it will only work with iPads and Android tablets.

While the universe itself doesn't look particularly original, the idea of mixing physical objects with our device's touch screen is always neat and unique. And if it's as great as Beasts of Balance then I'm all in. Check the Kickstarter video pitch with the link below.
Source
